Comic of the Week

This week's comic is "Precocious" by Crispy: A cute for all ages comic strip!

"Because Knowledge is a Weapon!" Excessively bright students have an amazing ability to outsmart themselves, and the kids of 4th and 5th grade combined class at the Poppinstock Academy for Gifted Children excel at this. They aren't exactly your usual innocent, starry-eyed youths. Being normal and nice is far too boring! These kids are not content unless they've escalated things out of control.

Miranda finally convinces Cabal of her veracity. Seems Miranda's gained aptitude in her ability now that she's become a vampire. What a way to figure it out, huh? She will develop other talents, but for now we will let it go at THIS.

When I got done with this page, I had to LOL... We go from Cabal being completely nekkid to slinging on his coat...without the between of putting on his pants...Oh boy...he's not going creepy flasher guy, I promise! He did (off screen) quickly throw on some pants! It wouldn't be too cool considering he NEVER latches the front of that jacket (despite those cool Battlestar Galactica - the orginal series- fastenings! Then again I don't think I ever saw Apollo or Starbuck latch theirs either.)

Once again, Cabal is showing how naive (dense?) he can be about stuff sometimes. Of course he did just wake up, and he does know her better than anyone else in this time. She's a precog, but's never been a mind reader...you can see where his confusion lies. Her reading future thoughts only proves in his mind that she was, in fact, dreaming.

This Week's Comic of the Week is "Spare Keys for Strange Doors" by 4LS

I fell in love with this comic immediately upon its application to the Spiderforest Collective. Being that I love X-Files and other science fiction and supernatural shows, 4LS's supernatural investigators Toby and Marion immediately appealed to me. Whether murdered golums, or Naids haunting a public swimming pool you'll love this title!!

4LS also does the long standing Kaspall haven't taken a moment to look at it, but it's got a huge following.

Okay I will admit a lot happened between the end of "The News" and this point...hee...I actually borrowed from this chapter for the ending of the previous chapter, but I felt that I didn't need to include all of the written version into the graphic novel.

Just so you know, the two of them did a pretty extensive search for Renate after he disappeared. The vampire took his car and left. The two of them came to the conclusion that Renate had just figured it was time to move on and they didn't think too much more on it.

This then picks up where that thought left off...(Which is why they're nekkid... they had to solidify that reconciliation right?) ANYWAY....

I really, REALLY like how Cabal's hair came out on this page, I mean in like EVERY cell...hee!

Comic of the Week

Due to some unplanned chaos...Comic of the Week is being postponed. I would instead like to point you guys to a new comic I discovered recently Sanctus Sanitorium it is a horror/supernatural comic with some very lovely artwork. The story isn't all that far into the telling and mysteries are being introduced left and right. Take a few moments to give the comic a read, I fell in love with the art and the story immediately - hopefully you will as well.

This stems from a serious bout of mistaken identity on my part because Kez had told me a long time ago she wanted to cameo my dhampir somewhere in WiT. Welcome to a brand new chapter in the Endgame portion of TOHS. This is the last chapter of this section! As such I have a bit of a surprise for you all!

TOHS will be bumping up to 2 updates a week until this chapter is complete! The new update schedule will consist of a Wednesday/Saturday schedule as long as I can keep up with the pages!

When Endgame concludes, I will be posting up "Not Ready to Die" as a 3x a week update while I prepare for the introduction of a completely new storyline! WOO HOO! So excited!

This week's comic of the week is a relatively new read for me. Twilight Lady by BlakeChen.

The mysterious "Lady" is an entity who dwells in the subconscious of a mortal woman. When Jen sleeps the Lady awakens, meting out justice for souls wronged in life (and death). The link I am providing is for "Dance of the Indwellers" as it is a very good self contained storyline that doesn't require any foreknowledge of the previous story lines!

And thus concludes The News. Actually this should have concluded last page, but I borrowed some material from the last chapter to better round out the conclusion of this chapter. Some of the information got trimmed out all together, just because it felt better for the progression of the story. That means that "Life's Stupidites" will be slightly shorter than previous because of the omission of material.

This week brings another of my favorite reads, "Chirault" by Varethane.

Meet Kiran and Teeko, a most unlikely pair. Both demons, they have very different circumstances for being in each other's company. Kiran is a demon hunter whose past is shrouded in mystery and whose powers are frighteningly powerful and at times dangerous. Teeko, shrunken to the size of a mouse by accidental magic exposure, seeks to find a wizard who can help return her to her true form. Together they find themselves caught up in a mystery larger than both of them.
